ABOUT CONOR
Conor Lee is an active guitarist, composer, and teacher based out of Fargo/Moorhead. Conor earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 2015 and started teaching guitar lessons at Flatland Guitars his last semester of college.
While a student at MSUM, Conor had the privilege of studying guitar with Michael Krajewski and Nick Fryer and gained crucial performance, studio, and writing experience. Conor was a member of the guitar ensemble, jazz ensemble, tri-college jazz combos, commercial ensemble, and accompanied the vocal jazz ensemble, men’s choir, and Poco Fuego. Conor arranged several jazz standards and original compositions while a member of the guitar ensemble.
While playing guitar for over 10 years, Conor has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Pete McCann, Connaitre Miller, Denis DiBlasio, Allen Vizzutti, Byron Stripling, and Kenni Holmen. In 2010, Conor was awarded an Artist Mentorship through the Lake Region Arts Council with singer-songwriter David Stoddard, where the two presented at the International Guitar Summit in Fergus Falls. In 2015, Conor returned to his hometown and was a featured guest soloist with the top Fergus Falls High School jazz band. In 2017, Conor was a featured guest soloist at the Fargo South’s spring jazz band concert.
