ABOUT AMY (she/her)
Amy has been an enthusiastic student for over 5 years, with a lot of focus on technique, theory, and ear training.   Amy is a problem solver, who enjoys figuring out the mechanics of a song and how to play it.  Amy's favorite music to play is rock, grunge and punk and when she started lessons, her goal was to play the music she loves to listen to.  Since taking 5ish years of guitar lessons, she also decided to learn the drums, and took 1 year of lessons.  Playing music is one her greatest loves! It feels good to make sounds that reflect emotions, in real time.

There's a song for all occasions.  It helps me express myself and it's so much fun to make music with other people!​

NOTABLE ACCHIEVEMENTS
Amy has been in two bands: the Gales, a rock/punk outfit made up of Amy,  plus three of her oldest friends, and Blood Moon, an ensemble including members of Jupiter Salute and Amped owner Emily Swedberg!

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?
Amy loves to be outside. Hiking the state parks of Minnesota with her husband Jeff is a favorite activity.  Amy loves gardening, reading, sorting and organizing spaces and ideas, problem-solving, crafts, making things, cooking, seeing live music, watching her kids turn into great adults...so many interests!
