ABOUT EMILY
Emily started Amped School of Music in 2018 with the mission to empower, connect, and celebrate musicians to create a stronger music community. Read more about Emily's startup journey here. Emily has been playing music for 26 years and teaching violin for over 20 years. Throughout this time, she has performed in several ensembles, performed on PBS and toured Europe and America, received scholarships, made a living with music, performed for large (3,000+) crowds and small (her grandma) crowds, and met hundreds, if not thousands, of friends, all with the gift of music! Emily served as co-concertmistress in the Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphony and concertmistress in the top auditioning orchestras at Moorhead High. She also participated in the in the Minnesota All-State Orchestras in 2006-2007, and the Minnesota Middle Level Honors Orchestras in 2002-2003. Emily received the music ability-based Christiansen Scholarship Award and graduated Concordia College with Magna Cum Laude honors. Emily believes music is an extraordinary way to have fun, learn about yourself, gain confidence, express yourself, perfect the art of building a skill, and connect with others. Music has been such a great part of her life and she supports anyone wanting music to bring more meaning and connection to their life.
