🎶 WHAT TO EXPECT

This isn't your typical strict piano lesson. This is a Piano Lab.
  • Individualized Pacing: You will work at your own station with headphones, allowing you to practice and progress at a speed that feels right for you.
  • Expert Coaching: Instructor Luke Sollie rotates through the class, providing 1-on-1 guidance, answering questions, and helping you overcome specific challenges.
  • Group Connection: We start each class with a "Weekly Focus" topic—like rhythm, chords, or technique—so we can learn together before diving into individual practice.
  • Flexible Schedule: We know life is busy! This is an ongoing course, meaning you can start or stop your enrollment as needed without disrupting the class flow.

"Music is vital in many ways. Since starting piano lessons in 5th grade, music has been a second language to me. It has given me a way to express myself. I've made so many friends and memories through my musical experiences."

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started
I have absolutely no musical experience. Is this class for me?
Yes! The lab is designed for all levels, from total beginners to advanced players. Because a large portion of the class involves individual practice with teacher support, you won't be "holding the class back." Luke will meet you exactly where you are!

Do I need a piano at home?
No! That is the beauty of the Piano Lab. You use our high-quality keyboards during the class. Since this is a "no-practice expectation" course, you can make progress just by showing up on Sundays. Of course, if you do have a keyboard at home, you're welcome to play more, but it's not required!

Will I have homework?
Nope. Leave the work in the classroom! We designed this course for busy adults. Your "practice" happens during the lab with Luke's guidance. No guilt, just music.

Is this only for adults?
The class is primarily for adults (18+), but we welcome motivated teens ages 16+ who are ready for a focused, independent learning environment.

Class Format & Curriculum
What kind of music will we learn?
We believe in a student-led curriculum. While we will cover essential foundations (scales, chords, reading music) as a group, during your individual practice time, you can work on the music you love—whether that's pop, rock, classical, jazz, or church music.

Will I have to play in front of the other students?
Only if you want to! Most of the class time is spent with headphones on, practicing at your own station.
  • Zero Pressure: You are never forced to perform solo.
  • Spirit Weeks: If you do want to perform, you can sign up for our quarterly Spirit Week Showcases in the lobby to play for a supportive audience! 🌟

What do I need to bring to class?
Just bring yourself and your excitement to learn! We provide:
  • High-quality digital keyboards.
  • Headphones.
  • Pencils and teaching resources.
  • Note: If we decide a specific method book is best for your goals, we will let you know which one to purchase.

Scheduling & Tuition
What happens if I miss a class?
Because this is a group tuition rate, we do not offer make-up lessons or refunds for missed weeks. However, because of the flexible "Lab Format," you won't fall behind! You can simply pick up right where you left off the next time you come.

Can I join in the middle of a month?
Absolutely. This is an ongoing course, meaning enrollment is rolling. You can start whenever you are ready!

How does billing work?
Tuition is $129 per month, charged automatically on the 1st of the month. This reserves your seat at one of our keyboards every Sunday.
There is a one-time non-refundable $15 materials fee due upon registration to reserve your spot in the class.
