TEACHING F.A.Q.'S
What's the benefit of being part of a studio?
Amped is an opportunity for teachers to do what they do best - teach! Not only do we take away the time and stress of managing a small business that is running a music studio, we provide a community for musicians. Running your own teaching studio is running your own small business and wearing many hats. Unexpected expenses, like professional-looking space rental, studio supplies, internet, insurance, recital venue rentals, and online tools add up. Not to mention the time and stress of handling marketing, taxes, student leads, signups, discontinuations, cancellations, questions, and management. Many of our teachers have run their own teaching studios in the past and prefer to focus on teaching while we handle the rest.
Additionally, work with other teachers, collaborate on projects, provide more opportunities for students, and make more of an impact on our music community. We also offer the best for your students, with performance opportunities and bands for them to make friends and have fun in!
Can I afford the rent?
Our teachers never have to write us a check! We'll handle all expenses, including space rental, student scheduling and billing, books, upkeep, heat, internet, printing, insurance, security, the lesson portal, and more! You get paid for teaching while not having to worry about expenses for your teaching space. We even provide gear, subscriptions to music resources, paper and pencils, and more to help you teach to your best.
What are the hours like?
Our teaching schedule is 3-8 PM Monday through Thursdays. Our teachers generally teach 8-18 hours per week.
What are the students like?
We generally have students between the ages of 5-80. These are families that love music and the arts and self-progress. Connecting and having a friendly rapport with our students and families is important to us. Lessons range from one student and one teacher to 3-6 students and a teacher. Our teachers often report feeling high satisfaction and fulfillment working with our students and helping them grow.
How big are the rooms and are they furnished?
Our room sizes range from 110-200+ square feet. The rooms are furnished with chairs, music stands, bookshelves, music playback speakers, and practice amps. We have iPads, computers, TVs, desks, keyboards, and drum sets in certain rooms. Contact us for a tour!
